    Discovery sprint

    One week, fixed price
    Price
    $12,500 USD, fixed. Credited in full against a build engagement started within 90 days.
    Deliverable
    A written assessment: whether the problem is tractable with current models, where the accuracy ceiling probably sits, what the evaluation set would have to look like, and what a build would cost. Delivered as a document your team can act on with or without me.
    Right when
    You are deciding whether to commit budget and you want a number before you do.

    Build engagement

    Shape
    Four weeks, fixed scope
    Price
    From $35,000 USD, fixed scope. Quoted after a discovery sprint or a diagnostic call.
    Deliverable
    A working system with an evaluation harness attached, deployed in your environment, with its accuracy measured. Your team can run the harness after I leave. Acceptance is measured: the accuracy target and the sample it will be scored on are written into the scope.
    Right when
    The decision is made and you need it built by someone who has taken this kind of system to production before.
  3. 03

    Managed operation

    Shape
    Ongoing, monthly. Available after a build engagement.
    Price
    $5,000 USD per month. Each additional workflow under management adds $1,000 to $2,000.
    Deliverable
    The system stays measured. Monitoring and error triage. Model and prompt updates as source documents drift. Eight change-request hours each month. A monthly report with the accuracy number and the hours saved, measured the same way the benchmark is.
    Right when
    The build is in production and you want the number to still be true in a year.

    Fractional architecture

    Shape
    Ongoing, monthly. Three tiers.
    Advisory
    $7,500 per month. Four hours per week. A standing weekly call. Async review of designs and pull requests within one business day. Interview loops for senior hires. Vendor and build-versus-buy decisions.
    Fractional
    $15,000 per month. 1.5 days per week. Everything in Advisory. Ownership of the technical roadmap. Evaluation strategy and its execution. A quarterly technology report written for the board.
    Embedded
    $25,000 per month. 2.5 days per week. Everything in Fractional. Hands-on architecture and critical-path code. Incident command. Delivery accountability for one named initiative.
    Terms
    Three-month minimum, then month to month with thirty days notice. Hour bands are real: work beyond them is re-scoped, not silently absorbed.
    Right when
    You have engineers who can build and nobody who has owned the architecture of a production AI system.

How I work

  • Fixed scope with a named deliverable. If the scope changes we re-scope.
  • Evaluation before claims. I will show you the set a number was measured on before I quote the number.
  • I will tell you when the answer is that you should not build this. It is a real outcome of a discovery sprint.
